Donating clothing and other household items in Florida can bring much needed support to our nation’s veterans. The Vietnam Veterans of America in Florida has been a dependable protector of veterans and their communities. Each household item donation can help continue much needed veteran assistance programs through the VVA. Each Florida VVA Chapter undertakes a variety of programs and actions to assist veterans in need. Chapter 522 of Pinellas County has many community service outreaches from financial support to local programs for veterans who are homeless or incarcerated. Each year they give scholarships to deserving High School seniors in addition to donating to Make a Difference to further their program that supports children with special needs. In addition, Chapter 522 gives annual gift certificates for food from local supermarkets to veterans and their families during Christmas and Thanksgiving. They have also formed a partnership with Pinellas Hope to provide assistance to homeless veterans in Pinellas County. They donate clothing and other personal items as well as provide homeless veterans with specialists who are able to provide assistance of medical care and individual counseling. Chapter 522 works with the Vet Center in St. Petersburg to provide financial assistance and counseling to veterans in need. Both the Pinellas County Chapter and Chapter 1046 of Jacksonville are committed to building awareness for issues important to veterans. Donations are made by these chapters to support programs and special events for Florida’s veterans who are incarcerated.

By scheduling a free donation pickup in Florida, you are doing your part to honor and support those who fought for our freedom.
